This is a nephrite jade cabochon set using a fine silver bezel cup on a textured and patinaed backplate of fine silver. The sterling silver bail is a hidden bail so you cannot see it when the necklace is being worn. The backplate is made of silver clay which is made up of particles of fine silver and a binder that burns off in the kiln, leaving just the silver behind! It comes with a sterling silver mini belcher chain with an antiqued finish to match the patina on the pendant.
